First comes drinking whiskey ...

It was a cold winter night get together of close knit friends, to celebrate the life of Levi's best-friend Darren Coffee. There were several feet of snow on the ground and if you didn't have 4-wheel drive then you likely weren't at the gathering. The moment we saw one another that night there was a connection. It was immediate, like a spark - a strong one.

We spent the night ignoring everyone else that was around us. We were talking, reminiscing, catching up on old times and good times. We'd gone to school together at Serrano High and never dated nor really talked back in the day. It was 2008 and we'd been out of school for over 12 years.

As we said our goodbyes everyone began to leave and to our surprise another foot or two of snow had fallen on the ground. By that time there was no way Levi could drive home, the roads were closed and hadn't been plowed. So along with our friend Eric we all hopped in one vehicle and headed to Sommer's place where we drank Whiskey shots and eventually went to bed in the early hours of the morning.

The next day Sommer would find herself stuck, in the mountains, unable to get back to Orange County, CA. She'd spend the next two days - with Levi - trapped inside the house with nothing but Netflix and wine and ... the snow falling outside.

And there began a love story.
